Čechoslováci volají Londýn leden až duben 2024 Tohle focení vlastně začalo už před pár lety. V době, kdy jsem studoval historii, mě vždycky bavilo vytvářet si v hlavě různé projekce dobové reality, o které jsem se zrovna učil. Není to, myslím, nic neobvyklého. Lidské mysli je vlastní utvářet si realitu pomocí příběhů, jednoduše jsme tak byli naprogramováni přírodou. Foťák mi o pár let později dal možnost tyhle myšlenkové projekce vizualizovat. Bylo mi jasný, že nejsem první ani poslední, kdo podobným způsobem přemýšlí, a tak jsem začal hledat, až jsem narazil na práci Standy Petery, který je v tomhle oboru minimálně v Čechách podle mě naprostej top. Jasně, asi nebudu fotit Gripeny, nevím jak to celé zatím udělat, ale rozhodně to potřebuju minimálně vyzkoušet. Chce to být realista Začátky fakt bolí a tenhle nápad tuhle starou pravdu jenom potvrzuje. Člověk vidí obrovský produkce zkušenějších kolegů a chtěl by to samozřejmě taky. Ideálně hned. Máš sice hromadu nadšení, foťák a nějaký to světlo, ale zkušenosti a know-how s podobnými projekty téměř žádný, kontakty taky nic moc, rozpočet přiměřeně malej. Takže si to chce s chladnou hlavou sednout a říct si, jaké jsou možnosti, aby to neskončilo fuckupem hned ze startu. Davové scény pochodujících ozbrojených dělníků Prahou po Karlově mostě asi (zatím) zařídit nedokážu, ale mohl bych zkusit něco menšího. Dva až tři lidi, jednoduchý příběh, pár rekvizit, téma, který nějakým způsobem znám. To by už snad jít mohlo. Jediná vysílačka v republice? Tak já se zeptám. Vybral jsem si proto československé parašutisty, kteří seskakovali za války do protektorátu. Jednak mám k těm chlapům obrovský respekt, jednak to bylo téma, které konceptem zapadalo do toho, na co jsem v dané chvíli stačil. Přišlo tak na řadu plánování jednotlivých scén, přemýšlení nad svícením, produkce. A byla to vážně sranda, zjistil jsem, že mě tohle zařizování celkem i baví. Potřeboval jsem sehnat opuštěnou půdu, k té posloužila chalupa příbuzných, jako herci posloužili kamarádi a brácha. Kostýmy půjčený na Barrandově a už to téměř bylo. Chyběla jenom… vysílačka. Sehnat vysílačku bude v pohodě, říkal jsem si. Jenže ona konkrétní druhoválečná, která by odpovídala vybavení parašutistů nikde k sehnání pořádně nebyla, kromě jedné. Tak jsem zvedl telefon a zavolal jsem chlapům do Roty Nazdar a řekl jim něco jako: „Ahoj, já jsem Aleš. Jsem fotograf, kterej bych chtěl fotit parašutisty a potřeboval by na to vaši vysílačku. Půjčíte mi ji?“ Pánové asi usoudili, že jsem podobný blázen jako oni, a vysílačku včetně dalších věcí mi půjčili. Mimochodem díky tomu jsem pro Rotu Nazdar později fotil i nějaké další věci a zároveň si rozšířil portfolio kontaktů. No a teď už chybělo to celé jenom nafotit a zpracovat. Zpětně viděno, má to své limity, ale ukázalo mi to cestu, jak o podobných věcech přemýšlet a jak je realizovat. A z toho mám radost. Takže díky všem, kteří mi v tomhle projektu pomáhali a díky chlapům, kteří do toho protektorátu před téměř devadesáti lety skákali. Protože si to dneska asi nikdo už ani nedovede představit.
